Used Cars Online
Buying used cars online is a viable way to purchase your next car. There are websites online such as Cars.com and Automobile.com that offer thousands of new and used cars from dealers.
Use the Internet to locate used cars online. In 1997 I was looking for a Volkswagen TDI diesel. I located cars online by browsing dealer inventories. I found cars in Washington state, to Georgia, the New England area, and several cars in the Mid West. I settled on a new 1997 Volkswagen Passat TDI at a dealer in Racine, Wisconsin. I live in Menasha, Wisconsin so the dealer was just about two hours drive from me. I made arrangements online and over the phone. In a few days I drove to the dealer in Racine and drove home in a new Volkswagen TDI. This is just another of my personal experiences of locating and buying new and used cars online.
My personal favorite website and the one that I have a positive personal experience with is EBay Motors. In 2003 I purchased a 1997 Chevrolet Suburban 2500. It was a bank repossession and the sale took place in December just before the end of the year. At that time banks are very aggressive to get these bad deals off their books. I paid $6,500 for that truck and it cost me $600 to have it shipped from Texas to Wisconsin. It had everything on it, power windows, power seats, leather, custom wheels, front and rear air.
I drove the Suburban for over a year before it was involved in an accident and totaled. The insurance company paid me over $13,000 as a replacement cost. The point is that there are some fantastic deals available by buying used cars online. There are also some online buying aids that help you find the best used car deals online. Always check the Kelly Blue Book value for the used vehicle you are interested in.
The best bet is to locate a vehicle within a convenient distance from you so you can inspect it and drive it in person.
